Hog Finishing Contract
What We Provide
At Leaning Tree Farms, we offer a fully managed, start-to-finish program designed to make the process simple and seamless. This includes sourcing your heritage Berkshire hog, raising it in a woodland, free-range environment, and organically feeding and finishing it to ensure quality and consistency. We coordinate transport to a USDA-inspected processor, manage your cut and wrap instructions, and deliver the final packaged meat directly to your door.
Free Home Delivery: We offer complimentary delivery of your packaged meat within 350 miles of our farm. For locations beyond this range, we’re happy to work with you on a custom arrangement.
How Much Meat to Expect: A whole hog typically finishes at around 280 pounds live weight, which results in approximately 185 pounds hanging weight and 155 pounds of packaged meat. Note: Each hog is unique, and final hanging weight may vary by up to ±75 pounds. Pricing is based on hanging weight, not per animal.
Our hogs are woodland-raised, free-range Berkshires, with access to plenty of space and a low-stress environment that supports healthy, flavorful meat. Our growth and finishing feed is Colorado-sourced, organic, and free from GMOs and growth hormones.

Our Pricing
Processing & Delivery:
Processing is scheduled to take place in September and October. Delivery of your packaged meat is expected to take place in October through December.
Please be advised, for ¼ orders, you will not have the option of choosing your cuts. We will do our best to ensure you receive a variety of cuts but will not be able to guarantee your preferences.
Freezer Space: As a general rule of thumb, you can expect to need 1 cubic foot of freezer space per 25 pounds of packaged meat. For pork, that would normally translate to roughly 7 cubic feet of freezer space needed per whole animal. Please keep in mind however that each animal is unique!
