Hog Finishing Contract

What We Provide

At Leaning Tree Farms, we raise and care for your animal from start to finish — including procurement, organic feeding & finishing, and coordinating delivery for processing.

Free Home Delivery: We offer complimentary delivery of your packaged meat within 350 miles of our farm. For locations beyond this range, we’re happy to work with you on a custom arrangement.

How Much Meat to Expect: A whole hog typically finishes at around 280 pounds live weight, which results in approximately 185 pounds hanging weight and 155 pounds of packaged meat. Note: Each hog is unique. Final hanging weight may vary by up to ±75 pounds. Pricing is based on the hanging weight—not per animal.

Our hogs are woodland-raised and free-range Berkshires, with access to plenty of space and a low-stress environment that supports healthy, flavorful meat. Our growth and finish feed is Colorado sourced Organic, and GMO & growth hormone free.

Our Pricing

Processing & Delivery:

Processing is scheduled to take place in September and October. Delivery of your packaged meat is expected to take place in October through December.

Please be advised, for ¼ orders, you will not have the option of choosing your cuts. We will do our best to ensure you receive a variety of cuts but will not be able to guarantee your preferences.

Freezer Space: As a general rule of thumb, you can expect to need 1 cubic foot of freezer space per 25 pounds of packaged meat. For pork, that would normally translate to roughly 7 cubic feet of freezer space needed per whole animal. Please keep in mind however that each animal is unique!
